About Bayswater Education

Bayswater Education was established in 2017 by a team of experienced professionals in the international education industry. The business is for profit but has a social mission at its core. The commitment to operate on a one for one basis is enshrined in our business. 

For every week of tuition that a student studies with us, we will give a week of education to underprivileged people from where our students are recruited. We set out to create a global network of  Colleges, focusing initially on teaching English to International students.  

By the end of 2021 the group consisted of a portfolio of year-round locations (in the UK, France, South Africa and Canada), English and Vocational courses, and a large summer school business operating under the following brands:

  • Eurocentres
  • Bayswater Summer 

We want to inspire and educate the next generation.

Our Bayswater Summer operation is back for 2022 and we are looking for experienced and enthusiastic summer staff to deliver successful experiences for our clients.


Position Summary


Location: University Campus throughout the UK

Contract Type: Fixed Term Summer Programme – June to August 2022


The Centre Manager role at Bayswater Education has core responsibility for:

  • Overall responsibility for running the allocated summer centre
  • Manage and control all Bayswater Summer staff that are appointed in their various posts throughout the summer including payroll, overtime, rotas, days off/hours etc
  • Financial reporting and accounting for centre finance pack
  • Cost control across campus
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with facility providers (accommodation, catering, classrooms etc.), ensuring that services are delivered in line with our agreement and dealing with problems effectively
  • Must attend senior training course 
  • Set up and close down the centre in accordance with British Council and school guidelines
  • Manage the day-to-day centre operations and handle any issues that arise
  • Ensure all aspects of the courses operate smoothly


The nature of the role will require the candidate to work unsociable hours (weekends/evenings/bank holidays); they will work 6 days, and an average of 42 hours per week.

Knowledge, qualifications, and experience

  • An undergraduate degree
  • Experience of working with groups of international students taking part in education programmes
  • Experience of summer centre management
  • Experience of safeguarding of children and best practices in running summer camps
  • Experience of staff recruitment
  • Solid knowledge of Safeguarding


Skills and Attributes

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Numerate and IT literate with competence in Excel
